The two traded in the 5th round, until there were ten seconds remaining in the round and Steele landed a left hand to the solar plexus that sent Chong to the canvas. In bad shape, Chong barely beat the count as the round ended. In the 6th, Steele continued to dish a beating on Chong, and dropped him in a neutral corner, though the referee ruled it a slip.
