William Smiley of the Ogden Standard-Examiner reported the following: &amp;quot;My scorecard gave Armstrong six rounds, called the fourth and fifth even and gave Burke the first and the tenth. In the Armstrong rounds the margin was so close that a short left or right that brushed the whiskers of the colored battler without connecting spelled the difference between the fighters.
