Latzo knocked Saxon down in the 3rd round with a short right hand, with Saxon pitching forward face first for a nine-count. In the 4th round, Latzo dropped Saxon with a left to the heart. Though Saxon beat the count, the referee stopped the bout.

This bout was originally scheduled for August 26th in nearby Dunmore, outdoors at a ballpark, but rain moved the bout indoors and to Scranton.
