Moore, who has been campaigning successfully here along with world featherweight champion Sandy Saddler of New York,~~ floored ~~Lovell, a heavyweight~~ twice ~~during the brief encounter that had been scheduled for 12 rounds. The American landed a smashing right to the head shortly~~ after ~~the echo~~ of the starting bell had died away to floor Lovell for a seven-count. The Argentine struggled to his feet but almost immediately was floored again for the full count, which came at the 46-second mark. The crowd gave Moore a tremendous ovation as Lovell was carried from the ring. Lovell, at 198 pounds, had a 24-pound weight advantage over Moore, who tipped the scales at 174.
