Bercot knocked Carmen down in the 1st round with a left hand for a two-count. Bercot carried the action for the first two minutes of the 2nd round, until Carmen landed a right to Bercot's left eye, which induced swelling and bothered him for the remainder of the bout. Carmen out-boxed Bercot to begin the 3rd, and then proceeded to knock him down for a four-count. Carmen controlled the action again in the 4th, though Bercot rallied at the end of the round. Bercot did most of the leading in the last two rounds, though Carmen appeared to have an edge. The ''Seattle Times'' felt Carmen won the bout.</div>Matt
