Schwartz however took an eight-count, though he fought back hard and drove Fierro around the ring for the rest of the round. Schwartz injured his hand in that round though, and ultimately was forced to quit. The ringside doctor stated that Schwartz had fractured the second and third meta-carpal bone in his right hand.
