Donnelly forced the fighting in most of the rounds. However, Paolo’s body shots tired his younger opponent after the 7th round. Judge Lou Goldstein called the fight even, 5-5. The UPI had Paolo ahead, 5-4-1. Donnelly entered The Ring ratings at 9 while Paolo went down one peg to 10.
