Individuals who had bet heavily on Harrison, hoping to profit on him winning, attacked and threatened Harrison&#039;s manager Joseph Bongiorno after he failed to deliver the outcome. Attempts were reportedly made through Gans&#039; manager Al Thoma, to get Gans to preform poorly, which were not successful.<br /> <br /> The &#039;&#039;Herald-News&#039;&#039; felt that Gans won by a wide margin, but that the official decision was closer than it should have been.</div>
