Jack was the aggressor for much of the bout. Kim hurt Jack with a left hook to the jaw at the end of the 7th round. Jack appeared to not have recovered from the blow at the start of the 8th round, and was hurt again badly by a right hand to the jaw. With Jack apparently defenseless, Kim failed to follow up though, allowing Jack to recover and take control of the action in the 9th round.

Jack lost one point for several low blows in the 1st round.
