Marullo dished a one-sided pounding on Smith. Smith fought out of a shell for the first three rounds, before being rocked by a right hand in the 4th round and cutting him over one of his eyes. Smith put up a strong effort in the 5th round, but seemed spent in the 6th. Marullo took complete control after that, progessively wearing down Smith, as his attack focused more on the body, the longer the fight went on.
