To the surprise of the fans and King's manager, Suey Welch, referee John Thomas pulled Benitez back into the ring. Once back, Chris crumbled to the canvas. Finally, after 18 seconds, he made it on two feet and the fight continued. Benitez collected a second wind and caught up with the fast-tiring King in the 5th.
