	On August 3, 2005, Adams, who's asthmatic went to a public hospital that's notorious for medical error and abusing the rights of patients. Asthmatic since 6 years old, Adams had an asthma attack on this day. This was the reason he was at the hospital. And like so many people who have asthma attacks, x-rays showed that he had slightly swollened lungs with heavy congestion. This occurrence led to "healthcare" authorities (students training to become medical doctors) misdiagnosing him with kidney failure, and then performing unnecessary kidney dialyses on him. About the 10th dialysis was botched. This caused Adams congestive heart failure, according to his medical records. In the meantime, he had been prescribed a medication -- COREG -- that all medical publications clearly warn "not for use by (patients) suffering from asthma." Also, at the time of Adams being prescribed COREG, a nationwide television commerical was running with a doctor in it saying, "Don't take COREG if you are prone to asthma." Four days, after taking COREG, Adams had several heart attacks and a brainstroke.

	As Adams lay dying, bits and pieces of his medical records were sneaked to his brother Ronny by a concerned, caring healthcare administrator. She claimed that JPS would dispose of the records to cover up medical errors, and the "mixed-up issuing of the wrong, dangerous prescriptions to (Adams)."

	~~Born on March 3, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas, Adams demised in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 20, 2005, from ailments caused by medical error and malpractice. He was 44 years old.~~

	~~In October of 2005, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper reported that the government-funded (public) hospital workers were using broken equipment and outdated suppies to treat (various) patients.~~

	~~In reference to TX00058096 of the Texas Department of State Health Services, on April 11, 2006, a member of Adams's family wrote:~~

	"JPS Health Network" is rotten to the core; a human slaughterhouse where (people) patients are being forcibly held, violated and murdered in plain view. Bureaucracy, cowardice and disingenous investigations won't always save John Peter Smith Hospital. This an in-plain-view, pseudohealth, mass murderer -- no matter how awesome and grandiose efficient -- is not above the law. It may be a long time or not very long, but one sweet day justice will be cascading on JPS.

	By 2008, the hospital's president and CEO (David Cecero) retired after meeting with board members, while the newspaper was publishing a six-part series -- April 27 through May 2 -- about the state of the hospital. Doctors, nurses and patients told Star-telegram investigative reporters that the (hospital) was more attuned to dollar signs than vital signs." They complained of squalor in parts of the hospital, intolerable delays and callous treatment of patients, the newspaper published.

	Patients described being treated with lack of dignity. Such as a woman who spent her entire stay in a hallway and for nearly two weeks was not given a bath. A man who was left off the food distribution list and sustained himself on crackers and a fruit cup. A woman was locked in a room for an hour. In his departing speech to the board, Cecero criticized the Star-Telegram.

	~~"Our local paper has strung together a list of anedotes, which don't represent an accurate picture, and a variety of facts that was taken out of context," he said.~~

	A Houston consulting company pointed out numerous deficiencies and dangers in the hospital, such as broken, malfunctioning, uncleaned equipment, untrained workers, misplaced medical records and patients being given the wrong medicine and even released from care because of lost charts and delays with MRIs and x-rays. Nurses, preparing operating rooms, reported seeing blood and bone fragments in rooms that they thought were clean. Nurses (also) sometimes had to leave surgery to find (working) instruments.

	~~According to a survey, a majority of (the hospital's) own physicians wouldn't recommend it to any (patients).~~

	~~One of Adams's family members responded to the information about the hospital by blogging:~~

	"When these revealing series of reports about JPS Healthcare system are no longer in the news, what then? This is mainly venting. This version of People Power will be silent. And the JPS's corrupted powers that be will be back to greed and denying patients' need. And doing nothing about the dirty and murderous conditions that exist at that slaughterhouse hospital. The white-coat killers will continue to adroitly kill. The hospital's security guards will continue to skillfully kidnap patients for the wayward, incompetent, Frankensteinian doctors. And the powers that be will continue to give out the maximum limit of $250,000 lawsuit money that is allowed to shut up a family with a little power to cause the JPS Healthcare system a heartburn and embarrassment. Again, I'm glad that my family didn't back down from telling the Star-Telegram that JPS is full of white-coat killers, incompetence, apathy, mean spritness, hatred and just plain-old evil. In memory of Gregory Delayne Adamez -- a Star-Telegram Golden Gloves champion of 1978, I hope that this wonderful six-part series bring about a better hospital. There was no need to violate Greg, force him into unnecessary, botched kidney dialysis, while also forcing him into taking a perscription of Coreg, which eventually caused his death."
