Harry Berntsen ended the 20- year career of Pal Silvers by KOing the Brooklyner in 2.47 of the 4th round. But for the first three rounds, it looked as if the Norwegian Berntsen was on his way to his first defeat. Silvers stabbed Berntsen and bloodied his nose,sent him spinning into the ropes. A surprise volley of rights from Berntsen dropped Silvers in the 4th. The old-timer arose only to be trapped against the ropes. Referee Jack Appel stopped the fight when Silvers was unable to defend himself.</div>Tron
