Greb landed a low blow in the first round and Rowlands was given a rest. Rowlands fought well in the first couple of rounds, landing lefts and rights as Greb charged in. Greb was in command in the third. Just before the end of the round he worked himself into position and shot his right several times to the short ribs. This seemed to take the steam out of Rowlands and when he went to his corner he told his seconds that he was through. Naturally this didn't set well with the crowd.
