The enveloping tactics of the octopus-like Boyd was too much for Mims, who constantly was forced into the ropes. But Mims landed the best punches. He staggered his looming opponent with a left hook in the 1st round, but clinched instead of following up. Boyd had a weight pull of 160 1/4 pounds to 155 1/2 for Mims." -Associated Press<br />
