==Update on Second Drug Conviction of Boxing Promoter John Glozier==

On Monday, November 3, 2014, David John Blakie, formerly known as boxing manager and promoter John Glozier, was sentenced in Christchurch District Court to three years and four months imprisonment in New Zealand for running a nationwide methaphetamine drug dealing ring, a class A illegal drug in New Zealand. The sentencing had been delayed due to corrective knee surgery after Glozier was shot in the knee following an underworld beef two years earlier. Masked gunmen had broken into his house and demanded drugs and money, and shot Glozier when he did comply, leaving in Glozier's stolen BMW car. Police investigating the incident at the scene arrested Glozier after finding a mysterious white powder at the scene. Two days later, gunmen shot in the door to his home and put a gun to Glozier's head. Drug mules, as well as Glozier himself, transported the illegal drug on domestic flights. Glozier previously served jail time in New Zealand for dealing methamphetamine and conspiring to import cocaine. Judge Raul Neave noted to Glozier as he sentenced him "The circumstances under which you received the injury confirmed the circles in which you were moving."[[http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11352397]] Glozier was described as a 'drug kingpin' and 'the highest level dealer' of a drug ring flooding Canterbury.[[http://new.widmi.com/index.php/new-zealand/the-new-zealand-herald/national/82895-no-money-cops-after-me-criminals-after-me-boxing-manager-john-glozier-s-fall-from-grace]]
