			*On June 8th, two days after this bout, the WBC backed the California Athletic Commission to strip Laguna of his world title unless he honors the contract with the Olympic Boxing Club, which he signed when he won the world title, to defend his title against a challenger of their choosing. The WBC, at this time, ordered him to defend against the winner of the upcoming Mando Ramos v Sugar Ramos 10-rounder. And if he failed to do so, the winner of that bout would meet Pedro Carrasco of Spain for WBC recognition.
			*It was announced that Laguna made $60,000 for this title defense.
