			*MSG matchmaker Teddy Brenner offered the winner of this bout to be matched with Denny Moyer in a 10-rounder in MSG on May 26, 1962. However, Moyer eventually was signed to fight Teddy Wright on that date until having to withdraw himself due to illness. Finally, on October 20, 1962, Moyer and Giambra met for what was the vacant and inaugural WBA jr. middleweight title.
