Budinich was born in Chile but is considered the pioneer of Cuban boxing. Claimed to have boxed pro in US during 1907-1909. He was the first gym owner, promoter and trainer in Cuba. Believed to have died in the First World War -late 1918- as a soldier in the French Foreign Legion.
