Nelson won the first round by being more aggressive by moving forward and throwing more punches, while Campbell seemed nervous. Nelson remained the aggressor in center ring over the next three rounds, but overall, the fighters appeared too inexperienced and cautious to engage in any meaningful exchanges. Still, rounds 2,3 and 4 appeared to be even and the bout appeared closer than the scoring indicated.
