"Lightweight Kenny Lane's camp today renewed its bid for another crack at the title with Joe Brown. Lane said he thought he earned another chance at Brown off his 6th round TKO last night over another ranking lightweight, Johnny Busso of New York. Southpaw Lane and his puzzling right jabs earned his victory over Busso in a nationally televised fight last night at Hollywood Legion Stadium. Lane started the trouble in the 1st round and had Busso's left eye closed by the 3rd. The fight was stopped a second or two after the bell sounded for the 6th round. Busso fought gamely but was half blind for the last three rounds." -Associated Press<br />
