*The main issue with the scoring of this fight was judge Johnny Webber's card. Under Michigan rules a fighter who scores a knockdown is awarded the round by a score of 7-3 and Webber scored the 2nd round 7-3 for Pellone when Felton went down for a no-count. However, referee Clarence Rosen stated it was no knockdown. Had Webber heeded the referee his score would have been 51-49 for Felton.<br />
*Boxing Commissioner Floyd Stevens discussed this for 10 minutes with his staff and stated that the draw decision stands.<br />
