Brouillard knocked down in the 2nd round with a right hook for what the ''Boston Globe'' called a nine-count, and the ''Boston Herald'' called an eight count. Brouillard worked Indrisano's body throughout the bout, some of which the ''Boston Globe'' felt were low. Brouillard began to come on strong late in the 9th round, and had Indrisano hurt in the 10th round, delivering punishment to Indrisano along the ropes. Brazell and Bowman scored the bout for Brouillard, while Brady scored for Indrisano.

The ''Boston Herald'' felt that Brouillard was a clear winner, giving him an edge in rounds 7-2-1. The ''Boston Globe'' was less enthusiastic, scoring the bout 5-4-1 in rounds for Brouillard, giving him the edge on the strength of his strong last round.
