By the time the fast-paced bout rolled around to the 7th, Lunny was already flaunting his superior speed by teasing Muniz with a wide open stance and then whipping up a connecting left hook. In the 9th Muniz jolted Lunny out of his complacency with a double left hook. But in the final stanza, Lunny caught Muniz with a good straight right near the ropes and streamed in a succession of rights and lefts on the former Mexican featherweight champ.
