		Texas welterweight sensation Roberto "La Amenaza" Garcia (25-2 18 KOs) scored a punishing 10th round knock out over savvy veteran and former light middleweight contender, Humberto "El Maestro" Aranda (37-16, 22 KOs) tonight December 5th at the Gimnasio de la Villa Olímpica José Figueres en Desamparados, Costa Rica. "La Amenaza," Garcia had promised to put on a lot of pressure on his opponent and make it an intense combat, and he lived up to his promise punishing the game and cunning Aranda from the first bell to the 10th and execution round. It was a good performance for Garcia, after an 11 month layoff as he would travel to Costa Rica to take on Aranda in his backyard. The fight began with Garcia pressing Aranda through out the first and the rhythm never changed as Garcia would press and make the fight going forward, chasing after the ever moving Humberto Aranda. After getting chased by Garcia through out the first three rounds, the Costa Rican felt at home, as Aranda would land his jab with effectiveness and Garcia would try to land the one punch knock out. Aranda made it hard to score in those 4th and 5th rounds.

		The 6th round would start of with much of the same as Aranda would continue his strategy of hit and move, although midway through the round Garcia would step on the pressure and catch Aranda well to the midsection and the occasional overhand right that would land but not directly as Aranda would sway and swing with the punches. Aranda's corner would get pumped up and motivated with Aranda's performance thus far.

		Roberto would start of the 7th with good punches to the body first and then the head that had Aranda backing up. A body shot halfway through the round would drop Aranda to one knee for the eight count. Aranda would show his heart by taking more punishment and countering at the same time to no avail as Roberto would dominate the round from bell to bell by going to the head and body. The start of the eighth began with Garcia pursuing once again the marathon distance runner in Aranda. Robert would connect to the body with a good shot that Aranda would complain was low and the referee would give him time for a breather. after what appeared to be a couple of minutes the fight resumed with Garcia doing much of the same, pressure fighting like he had said he would at the weigh-in. The 8th round would end with the elusive experienced veteran Aranda taking a breath of respite with two rounds left to go as Garcia would close in trying to land a left hook.

		The 9th round begins with Garcia landing a right hook and Aranda back on his bicycle speeding fast from harms way. Garcia would change up his stance to southpaw trying new strategies to land his punches. Another well place body shot dropped Aranda to the canvas showing a hurtful expression, Aranda would beat the count only to get caught to the boy once again and taking another knee. Aranda would beat the count once again, this time Garcia would really step up the body work and drop Aranda for the third time in the round but the referee would call it a low blow and award Aranda time to recover. No points were taken from Amenaza Garcia nor a warning seemed to take place. The punch seemed to be at the belt line but Aranda's experience and savvy helped coerce the action taken. The round continued and Garcia would come on strong off the bell, yet it would be only seconds when the bell rung ending the round and saving Aranda from more punishment.
