Rock suffered a head injury as well breaking both of his legs, his right leg in two places. Allen also had a break in his lower spine and broken ribs. He spent three months in the hospital and underwent nearly 12 surgeries. Allen's doctor claimed that he likely would not have survived the crash had he not been in such good physical condition.
