He was born to Ruben &amp; Enadina Munoz. Ruben Jr. started his life in boxing at age 5 and pursued with boxing throughout his teenage years, following his father and siblings. As life for Ruben began to quickly heighten, he was also married at a young age and was father of two boys. Never the less, still managed to keep up his career in boxing. Ruben Munoz Jr. was accmpanied by his friend of family and trainer Joe Joven, also from Odessa, Texas. Together they pummeled through matches leaving Ruben with the nickname Ruben,"the sledge hammer" Munoz. Being known for his strength and power punches. But soon it would come to an end in the fight against Robin Blake a.k.a Rockn' Robin.
