Glass was also an actor in film and television from the early 1960s to the early 1990s. He appeared in the films This Is Not a Test (1962), Deliverance (1972), Bootleggers (1974), and Winterhawk. He had also appeared in Star Trek, in the episode Mudd's Women. Glass also had an uncredited role as boxer in [[Kid Galahad (1962)]].

Glass also worked as an educator for many years in Los Angeles, teaching and working as a counselor at Fairfax High. Glass also published a novel "Half-Assed Marines", in 2010.
