This was the opening night of a new arena--called at various times Donohue's Arena and the Garden Arena--the became know as the Garden Palace. The opening night attendance was 2000, the largest crowd ever up to that time for a boxing card in Passaic. The Arena was located in the heart of the downtown business district.</div>DavidKehler
