	Robert Gunn's true birth name is Robert Williamson. His lineage is of the "Terrible Williamson" family, whose patriarch Robert Logan Williamson (Peebles, Scotland) came to America in 1883. In 1885 he was married, and would have seven children. From these children came one of the most notorious crime families in American history.

	It is alleged that the "Terrible Williamsons" were the originators of roofing and paving scams in America. Throughout the 1930's and early 1960's the family was under investigation from the Better Business Bureau, and they were forced to change their last names, and regions where they 'worked' were abandoned for places out West (Arizona, South California, Nevada) and in the Deep South (Texas, Florida).

	The name 'Gunn' originates from one of Scotland's many Clans, and the Williamson family (among several other associated families such as Stewart, McFie, McMillan) was among the many under the Clan Gunn. Contrary to popular belief and opinion, it is well documented that the Williamson family, and associated/related families, are not gypsies or travellers.

	According to the September 11th, 1955 issue of the San Bernardino Sun: "The Williamson's are strikingly similar to gypsy families: they have the same itch for travel, craze for fancy cars, morbid love of opulent funerals, and the same talent for larceny in their womenfolk. Yet the Williamson's despise gypsies, won't come within a mile of their camps."

	Robert Williamson alias "Bobby Gunn", has used many aliases throughout his career and life. The proof of this is in the BoxRec database, when one cross references his many matches. 	It is a practice most common with the Williamson family to change names often, and when one looks at the state of Arizona during Bobby Gunn's early career one will see numerous crimes being perpetrated by the "Terrible Williamsons", so it is assumed Gunn fought under aliases so to have no connection with his family members.

	Robert Williamson, to this day, has not lost connection with the state of Arizona as he made his "bare knuckle boxing" debut against Rich Stewart (an alleged cousin) there. His son 'Bobby Gunn Jr' also made his semi-pro boxing debut there. Williamson plans to do more "bare knuckle boxing" ventures in the state under the Native American commission, rather than through the state. Williamson's "bare knuckle boxing" championship has been defended three times as of this writing, though 'opponents' Ganeal Goyco (Ernest Jackson) have stepped forward and admitted these were faked, pre-arranged bouts.
