	After Boxing Samuel got involved in crime in the area particularly house breakings and went in and out of jail numerous times. 			He is still regarded a legend who put Bethlehem in the map and his fans still call him by the nickname he got during his days "The[[Media:Example.ogg]] Slashin' Tiger" to this day.

	The boxer Samuel Liphapang Mcina was born in Bohlokong, Bethlehem in the eastern Free State. He has one daughter, Seipati Maria Mcina and two grandchildren. His daughter passed away in 2006 after some short illness. He now resides in the formal settlement of Egepeta in Bohlokong and is also a pensioner due to his hand that was injured during his boxing days in the early 80's. 	He once opened a boxing gym in Phumla Mqashi location in the township of Bethlehem but due to lack of interest amongst the youth in the area and the opportunities that goes along with the sport in the province, most of his trainees dropped out and the gym closed down. His cousin, Paul Mcina was also amongst those trainees and was very passionate about his uncle's achivements and the sport, but was relocated to Bloemfontein Children's Home, Tshireletsong where ~~hthe~~ boxer's daughter stayed as well.
