	The promoters of the German Universum drew attention to the big heavyweight after the success of the Klitschko brothers. Even a stoppage defeat by another Ukrainian - Vladimir Virchis - did not put an end to Taras's future in boxing: he defeated fairly good and then-considered decent prospects Nuri Seferi and Aldo Colliander (who returned to the ring in 2015 after 8 years of inactivity) and Wladimir Klitschko's former opponent Fabio Moli.

	But, another thing is that Universum began to experience hard times. The departure of the Klitschko brothers and financial problems forced the company's management to reconsider the number of fighters on contracts. As a result - a "battle for survival" with another Ukrainian Oleksiy Mazikin. Taras won it, and then continued to defeat strong journeymen, constantly being near the top of the heavyweight division.

	But at the same time, according to German journalists, Taras himself has already lost his motivation. He no longer worked that hard in training, allowing himself not to give his best, he did not approach the fights too responsibly. But if there was enough skill, strength and stamina in battles with strong but not exactly class A opponents, in fights with more serious opponenta these factors made themselves felt. Fatal for the further career of the Ukrainian was the fight against the Russian Denis Boytsov.
