His victory over the Zulu Kid on March 14, 1914, also indicates Teague was a rather accomplished Middleweight.		Assuming this was the same Tommy Teague, he was a rather accomplished boxer to have fought Al McCoy, on April 3, 1914, only four days before McCoy took the World Middleweight title in Brooklyn on April 7, 1914 from George Chip in a first round knockout.
