	~~?I?ve always been fighting,? Valdez said. ?When I was a kid, bigger guys would pick on me because I was small. I guess that?s how I learned to handle myself.?~~

	~~And now, at the age of 21, the former Pojoaque High student is a professional boxer with an impressive 4-1-4 record.~~

	~~With four knockouts to his credit, Valdez, who described himself as ?a brawler,? said the knockouts reflect his boxing style.~~

	?When I fight, I want to get in there and hurt somebody and break stuff,? Valdez said. ?Rather than score points, I want them to feel pain. And if I get tagged, they better get ready because they?re going to get hit harder.?

	~~Valdez started boxing in the amateur ranks at 14, compiled an 8-2 record and was runner-up in the 2000 National Golden Gloves in the 106-pound class.~~
