Eugene Criqui lost to Memphis Pal Moore by TKO in round 14 of 20

According to Boxing, Criqui was the better boxer, delivering his punches more "correctly" and meeting Moore's charges with sharp jabs and uppercuts. It was a very close fight for the first twelve rounds, but Moore stepped up the pace in the 13th. Near the end of the 14th Moore landed two lefts to the body whcih caused Criqui to claim a foul. He was obviously hurt and, when Referee Corri refused to honor his claim, he retired after the bell rang.
