"Veteran Billy Graham of N.Y. came from behind Saturday night to hold N.Y state welterweight champion Carmen Basilio to a 12 round draw in their "rubber match" in War Memorial Auditorium. Basilio forced the fighting in the early rounds and appeared to have a decided advantage in the first half of the bout. But he tired and suffered a severe pounding from Graham's solid left jabs in the closing rounds. At the end, Basilio, of Canastota, N.Y., was bleeding freely from a gash beneath his left eye and from the nose. He fought the last three rounds with his left eye practically closed." -United Press
