Bass knocked Jadick down in the 1st round with right to the jaw, followed by a left hook. Jadick was up without a count, though he appeared hurt. Jadick was very cautious following the knockdown, as he clinched a lot, and didn't open up again until the final round. Bass was the aggressor, though he missed many punches thrown at the elusive Jadick. Bass was cut on his forehead in the 9th round.
