Walcott floored Ketchell in the early moments of the bout with a one-two. Ketchell's head hit the floor with bang, but he was up at four, nonetheless. Ketchell, who was hurt, was able to hold Walcott to survive the round. Walcott also had a big 10th round, when he dropped Ketchell with a body punch for a no-count knockdown. Ketchell's best rounds were the 7th and 8th, when he was able to tie Walcott up inside and work his body. Walcott would hit low twice in the 2nd round, which cost him the round automatically. The Camden Courier-Post disagreed with the decision, scoring for Walcott 5-3-2 in rounds
