Young Jack Thompson beat Jack Silver by TKO in round 8 of 10

Thompson thoroughly dominated Silver, in what was considered an upset. Silver only took the third round, he was all but out on his feet in the 7th round. In the 8th round, Thompson dropped Silver with a left hook, for an eight-count. After he rose, Thompson rushed him, and dropped him with another left hook. Silver was attempting to rise, when his corner threw in the towel.
