Fernandez stunned Llanes with a right hand midway into the round. Llanes who was stunned, began retreating, and was then caught with a left to the jaw, followed by a right cross. Llanes dropped prostrate to the canvas where he was counted, and remained for several minutes, before he could be helped out of the ring.
