Amateur Career

• The Clydach Vale man started boxing when he was just 9 years of age, under the nurture of Ivor ‘Pete’ Bartlett in the Rhondda Amateur Boxing Club. He decided to start boxing for no other reason than he liked the look of the sport. During his amateur career, Liam travelled all over the world, captaining the Welsh Amateur Boxing Squad, fighting in European and World Tournaments where he won numerous medals. [1]
