The Ring August 2015 issue

Promoter Tex Rickard created the phrase Fight of the Century for the 1906 Battling Nelson vs. Joe Gans title bout. It has been applied to four other bouts since then:

Jack Johnson vs. James J. Jeffries (1910)
Jack Dempsey vs. Georges Carpentier (1921)
Joe Frazier vs. Muhammad Ali (1st meeting) (1971)
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao (2015)
