Re: Floyd vs Berto now official

Floyd -10000 at the books for this one.
Let's hope this is just a tune up for his final fight, this would be a really terrible sendoff.

Re: Herrera vs Lundy tonight on HBO

Lundy's losses have come against guys who have a sizeable reach advantage on him....Herrera has a considerable advantage in that category. That should give Herrera an edge in this one...not to mention he's a great boxer. Lundy is good but he'll lose this one.

Re: flannigan vs zepeda

The nastiest part was how Zepedes corner tried jamming that thing back into place inbetween rounds. Sick! I mean that was a nasty, nasty looking dislocate with bone popping out and stuff...can't believe they even attempted to do that lol.

Nice job Pat Russell.
Well at least that's some free betting money lol...
But yea, I think Bradley obv. would have held him off for the final 7 seconds anyways.

Ok I was way off on the Belmonte pick lol.
Kind of underestimated Dierry Jean, no doubt.

N'Dam will win so we won't have to worry about that :DD
I just don't see Lemieux getting to him, he's too fast and rangy overall.

Re: sammy vasquez vs wale omotosho

Omotosho probably has slight technical edge overall but Vasquez's overall heart and aggression is unlike anything I've seen in a long time, he's an absolute warrior. I mean Vasquez is so effectively aggressive to the point where his defense doesn't even really matter because his opponent doesn't eve...

Re: We need boxers with pride

There's still lots of good fights happening every weekend if you're a real fan. I'll be enjoying great matchups this weekend like Lemieux v N'Dam and Porter v. Broner. If you want to choose to focus your energy on who's ducking who instead, go for it. I'd rather focus on who's actually fighting ;;-)

Re: Betting on Porter seems easy $$$

Evander's evaluation is really spot-on for both boxers. Porter is aggressive and has heart but I don't think he's precise enough to take down a boxer with the patience and defensive skill of Broner. I think Porter will try to bring the fight to him early but tire out due to chasing Broner and throwi...

Re: Lemieux vs N'Dam

N'Dam will win this fight. Lemieux is too limited of a fighter to beat a guy like N'Dam. You heard it here first :TU: I think N'Dam wins as well, using the same formula he did in the Stevens fight. If Lemieux is susceptible to anything, it's the jab when he's forward pressing -- that's N'Dams bread...

Luis Ortiz v Bryan Polley tomorrow is gonna be hilarious...If there was ever a fight I would put my entire life savings on, this would be it (yes, even at -10000 odds -- no chance Polley ever wins this fight, ever.)

I'm sincerely afraid for Polley's well-being in this one lol

Re: Ward's Next Fight

I'm not moving beyond Smith, let's see how that goes. Exactly, anyone who's arguing this point with you hasn't watched Paul Smith fight because he's solidly aggressive, crisp punching guy with very good pop . He has way more power than his 50% KO rate suggests, mainly because in England they fight ...

Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?

I'd like to see Floyd v. Lara simply because it's Floyd fighting a younger guy with a pretty similar, defensive style to himself. If he could put a great, young defensive fighter like Lara away at age 38 it would be the definitive "I'm the best defensive fighter in the history of boxing" s...

Re: Deontay Wilder Is a Joke

When Molina had Wilder rocked it was absolutely shocking he didn't just go all in for the kill. 99% of fighters in that spot would have pounced on Wilder like a rabid dog. Instead Molina just kept oafing around the ring as if he hadn't even touched him lol. It was bizarre. I wasn't buying the announ...

Re: Lee Haskins Chances ?

It means the "actual" world champion can't currently fight (due to injury usually) so it's like a replacement champion.
Alot of times the interim champ fights the "actual" one once he comes back....

It's still technically considered winning a world title for Haskins.

I might watch it though i'm pretty sure Monaghan handles him pretty easily. Zuniga seems to lose to pretty much anyone even remotely better than him skill wise in recent years. And Monaghan is definitely better....
