I used to subscribe from 2001 to couple of years ago, but found the cost v content wasn't right for me, and fight reports were available quicker elsewhere

Re: Obtaining a BBBofC seconds license

When I did my trainer/seconds,approx 2 years ago it was interview, and a chat about my relevant experience, a couple of questions from the rule book, and then I was put forward to the course. It is similar to a job interview

Re: BBBoC trainers license

Same as above, I am just a run of the mill trainer at an amateur club. I told them my experience, both boxing and coaching, answered a few questions on corner procedures, and fighter safety, then explained that I help an already licensed trainer, and also looking to have my own fighters longterm. Th...

Any pics or fight posters

Hi Guys,
In the process of revamping our community gym, as we have moved into a much bigger space, just wanted to see if anyone had any old fight pics or posters, that they maybe willing to donate to go on the walls.
Many thanks

Re: Gym fighters

Do you think its an occasion thing, where the bright lights and crowd cause a mental block, or nerves?
I hated going to other gyms for sparring , used to get more nervous than fight night for some reason.

Re: British boxers taken to sacrificial altar in USA

Been listening to Tris Dixon's Gary Lockett episode on podcast , there is a great bit where Lockett said he was looking at a title fight, and pavlik had been mentioned. Gary recalled Dean Powell (rip), calling him a short time later saying sit down Gary, we have the Pavlik fight. Gary recalled holdi...

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte

Where Bunce mentioned a british heavy , got me thinking if its not whyte, imagine the boorfest of hughie v wlad, (not a ticket selling venture!) Or Dave allen getting jabbed to bits v wlad, or ddd v wlad, or delboy. I think wlad even if hes only at 40% would be too savvy for all the heavys outside t...

Re: how does being fat effect stamina/fat guys with good stamina

At British level I thought John mcdermott was a good example. Many thought he out worked Fury in their first fight. Not sure of some guys looks are deceiving or they pick the shots and reserve energy a bit more

Awful decision by the ref should have been waved off after 1st knockdown. Does the other guy do many tickets? If not would be suprised to see him out regularly, risk and reward don't match. He will be avoided
