Boxers who work other jobs

Post by margaret thatcher »

What notable boxers past or present worked other jobs while boxing? I'm sure it's been lots but just curious for examples

Joe Smith I think beat Hopkins while having another job

Pretty sure Sho Kimura was a delivery man when he won the WBO Flyweight title

Kinoshita worked in the hotel that host his bout against Tete (even that advantage didn't help)

Amazed at some of the guys who graft full time, train on the side and still manage to get to title level.

Always root for them over the lads who can afford to box full time with sponsors and top promoters.

Andrew Cancio beat Alberto Machado for the WBA Super Feather on a Saturday night and was tarmacing roads on the Monday. Madness.

Ricky Burns worked in JD didn’t he. Think Tyrone McCullagh is a nurse. Mike Tyson was a full time fornicating nutcase.
