123 novice winner was impressive..

Marcus Browne looked great and DeVaun Lee was sharp and it will surely be an upset if Lee wins but I like the underdog in this case. Him fighting at 132 is probably the major reason why he got stoppped.. thats too little of a weight for him

I heard they gave him a nice signing bonus and he and his family needed the finances.. I woulda liked to really see how he would fare on the senior level in national tournaments and wouldve liked the opportunity to have a bout against him

yea Russo was holding the whole fight .. Our guy did great though .. He should beat him next time

Roberto Morban is impressive.. They said it was his 6th try at the NY Golden gloves, he never made it to the finals.. then this year he finally wins it.. Then goes on to win the National Golden Gloves.. thats a great story of dedication and determination.. Not to meantion, he looked great in his fig...

Im not shocked Peralta's a damn good fighter.. When i first started boxing we used to go to war sometimes when we sparred..Post the vid when u can .. I bet it wasnt as close as the 3-2 either

Eddie Gomez is mens open class now and he stopped some guy in the 1st round in the 152 lb open NYGG

There are a couple of new 201 lbers who won the novice NYGG last year that did good things as open fighters in the Metro LBC tournaments.. Joe Williams beat David Thompson who moved back to 201 at the LI Tourny. Steve Bujaj in the metros beat Dave Thompson then Fred Samuels then lost to Joe Williams...
