I just watched the video of Warren vs Picardi and Rau'shee got the typical international robbery. The ref was American so that means two of the 3 judges were Italian. In the 1st round Warren had Picardi up against the ropes and landed 2 clean punches without any punches thrown back from the Italian but Picardi gets a point and Rau'shee gets none. In the last round with the Italian up, you know they are not going to give Rau'shee enough points to win which is what happened. Rua'shee landed punches and no points and Picardi throws something that was sort of close and he gets points. They only gave Rau'shee points when they knew their guy had enough to win.
In the Geffard vs Russo fight the ref was Italian so that means two of the 3 judges are Americans. In the last round Geffard is getting fair scoring and towards the end of the round Geffard ties the score. If you look at the ref, you see he starts looking outside the ring twice in the same place, probably at the president of the Italian federation Franco Falcinelli and all of sudden the ref stops the fight with like 2 seconds to go and issues a total bullshit warning for a foul for use of the head. Geffard never did anything wrong the whole fight with his head. He never had any cautions issued to him. Granted a ref can issue a warning without any prior cautions which if accepted by the judges means two points for the other boxer. He can only do that for harm fouls like a low blow or head butt but there was no illegal use of the head. The worse thing that happened here is that at least one of the US and maybe both (I don't know) went along and agreed with the ref and pushed the warning button!! WTF!

It was obvious what the ref was doing....trying to guarantee a win for Russo but the US officials just don't have enough international experience to realize what BS that was. The one or both should have never pushed their warning button and the bout ends up a draw or they go to the tie breaker. In international duals, you can have a draw if agreed ahead of time.
Same old crap...never changes.
