Hi Anton, Looking closely at Stadiums Ltd fight-cards, Australian Ring magazine and various newspaper write-ups about our fighting one another I have found a couple of places spelling his name as Rodgers. I personally would rather believe the "Stadiums ltd. fight-cards" and their program c...

Hello Anton, I don't envy your responsibilities one bit with Boxrec and I understand what you are saying about our Asian name misspelling in fight-cards. For some reason they are excusable. Yes I will be attending the Barry Michael's promotion today at Moorabbin, I am getting the cameras prepared ri...

To the editor in charge:

Hello John, Obviously you were showing the editors concerned. It does not seem an impossible task to change them back. I know who may be able to have the accurate info for the exact date it was renamed. I may be able to contact him and that is Mr David Lean whom is Old Dick's grandson and Young Dick...

Here is some proof I hope you are convinced: NEW BUILDING "not the old corrigated iron one" with NAME STADIUM http://www.youngvictorboxing.com.au/west%20melbourne%20stadium.jpg Festival Hall as is now known - Stadium then and known as West Melbourne Stadium was built by John Wren in 1915. ...

Please change it back to what it was please Graham. West Melbourne Stadium up till June 1959 - Festival Hall after that date in my record. Yes he must be at least for being the youngest heavyweight boxer to ever win the World Title. Furthermore he is both Famous and Infamous (must be hard to achieve) I personally think he was mishandled or he without knowing better mishandled himself. I do hope he now falls into better times as he did ...

Anton, I am running out of things to tell you the nice way and its not like me to be nasty either but I lived in the area for 30 years, I am uni educated, I have held leading engineer positions and ran several businesses. I am saying this to convince you that when I speak of something as important a...

Hello Graham, Thank you for your response but I am sorry to inform you that you are right about the burndown date but Wrong about the naming. West Melbourne Stadium was rebuilt and not renamed until some time between my fights of June 1959 and October 1959. Proof of this is the fightcards in the New...

Hi Graham, Can you please re-arrange my record from Festival Hall to West Melbourne Stadium being the correct name. Festival Hall did not exist before my recorded fight of the date 1959-10-16. The record was correct before somebody changed it. For accurate record please see : http://www.youngvictorb...

Thank you for your prompt attention Graham.
Its great how quickly you fixed the problem.

Someone may know this boxer from the early 1900's in Australia.
He was my old trainer in the late 50's & 60's and I would appreciate any information about him.
Amazingly he never discussed his own experiences in boxing.

Hello, Graham, according to Ric you are the person to rectify a mistake in my record ref. http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=119232 1959-03-20 Johnny Volpi 3 rounds should be a points win not a point loss (other details ok) 1959-10-16 Johnny Volpi 3 rounds should be a points loss not a...
