It's a good fight, but I can't fancy Robin's chances much now, simply because his work rate is so low these days.

Hmm. Not so sure about that.

What did I say? Look what this guy has started!

LOL. Also he turned pro against a 20-0-1 (15) Olympic bronze medallist

I'd actually favour Vitali over Peter even though Wlad is the better boxer. Samuel basically plods forward and looks to land a haymaker. He's begging for a Lewis - Tua type shut out. I believe Vitali has a better chance of doing this because he uses his height and reach much the same way Lewis did:...

Seriously though, having to write such drivel must be somewhat difficult for such normally good scribes.

I think that might be the problem, I'm not sure there are enough of them. I'm trying to think of another Welsh light-heavy that Davies could have fought, and I'm drawing a blank.

I seem to remember "Gentleman" Glenn McCrory is surprisingly tattooed under the smart suits we see him in now.

Ignore all this 'craving' crap, Calzaghe's career has ALREADY been defined. Barring moments of mindless optimism I agree, ao if Calzaghe's crappy fights means ITV deals and more Khan fights then so be it. Anyone still hoping for big things for Joe should have a think about those 4 options FW wanted...

Davies v Oboh was one of the few domestic light-heavy matches I can recall looking forward to.

stujones wrote:Oh sorry, I thought it was Mundine was one of four options Warren was considering as an opponent for September.

Nah, Warren wants Mundine's ass signed up for the next 2 years before he can fight Joe. Not much confidence in Calzaghe.

Have the four options been named? If yes, I must have missed it can someone post who they are. The 4 options are what FW is demanding Mundine give him should he beat Calzaghe, ie that FW could promote Mundine's next 4 fights. As with most similar arrangements you can bet that it would be 4 fights a...

4 options, on a recent former champion and top contender who could make a fight with anyone!

Riddick Bowe covered himself in big tattoos that just look like blotches on his dark skin. I heard it regretted having them later. Now in his last fight he seems to have had some of the tatts "filled in". Nutter.

This 4 options crap sucks. Calzaghe is going nowhere, ever. :(

I'm not sure the Duva's will be racing to accept either of these fights for Peter. Wladimir is clearly going to be vulnerable to Peter's big punches but then again Wlad might have a good night and stick him with the jab and make use of his size advantage. And Samil Sam is something of a brawny hand...

The sad thing is I have always enjoyed the editorials at SecondsOut, and they have some very good writers such as Thomas Hauser on the books. But the shameless promotion of Greenberg is going beyond a joke and rubbishes their journalistic integrity. No other writers are getting even remotely excited...

I know they must be having their arms twisted at SecondsOut.com, but this kind of tosh is stretching journalistic integrity a wee bit far. Yeah, HBO have been watching Greenberg closely....

Hide is just a talker these days. If he does fight again then the breaks between his fights will make Audley look active.

Then post your top 10 squire!

Koc, etc, etc

What a dire subject this really is, but to relieve some boredom momentarily I had a little think and came up with this motley bunch. This is based on achievement first, then potential second so go easy on me Audley fans. I've included Roman Greenberg because he is based in the UK and fights on the d...

Am I missing something? Buster Mathis Jr had some boxing ability but achieved nothing. Byrd, against the odds, has held the WBO and IBF titles and defeated some decent opponents. He's got to be a league above Buster.
