Watching Foster not stop that in the third, and still laughing at that Groves stoppage 10 years later.

I’m still taking Floyd overall, but in terms of an individual win/performance - can anyone think of any over the last ten years that are close to what Crawford did tonight? Rigo-Donaire? Floyd-Canelo?

Is Kell as shot as people are saying? Or did he just get done by one of the best fighters of the last 10 years? He didn't look bad until that moment. Yes, he sort of unravelled fast but is it conclusive that he's finished? I wondered this. It was such an about-turn to go and fight Crawford at 147 l...

Can anyone in the know give me some background on any of the fights on the undercard? Are Rea/McCarthy + Schofield/Brown decent match ups ?

Sorry if it's been covered previously - does anyone know who Joshua's southpaw sparring partners have been?

The way Catterall is being described in this thread compared to the buzz that was around him three or four years ago shows quite how poorly he’s been managed up to this point.

Astonishing.

Not a beating or anything, but impossible not to give him R1.

10-9 Egg.

Agreed although Molina had some moments in the last minute.

Looks from this like it could be as early as 2am!

Rewatching the Prograis fight. What an unbelievably good match up, fight and ultimately win this was for Taylor.

Styles make fights but it’s hard to think Ramirez will be a harder fight for Taylor than Prograis, what a little fighter he is.

a force wrote: ↑21 May 2021, 17:12 I’m going to back Taylor on points but it’s not a confident pick like it would be if Shane McGuigan was in his corner.

Every time I see Davison he reminds me of the parrot analogy that Billy Graham talks about.

Curious to hear more about this?

Including this fight, Taylors last six opponents = 136-1 :o And the “1” is courtesy of Terrence Crawford. It really amazes me how undervalued Taylor is (not here, but wider). It’s painful to think the most significant non-heavyweight fight a UK fighter has had in years is buried away on Fite.TV.

I thought it was pretty close without scoring so no complaints re the result.

I do think it’s less a “which country you go to” thing - some cards and some events just feel like they are set up to be showcases for the home fighter, and this had that type of feel.

To be fair to him, Liam Smith has always been willing to trade.

Didn’t see the fight, but sounds like Sokolowski put on another good effort. Probably could have had a very decent career if he’d ever been signed and managed as something other than a B-side.

know the opponent yet? love me some tenny

Looks like this fight is off - Tennyson has a new opponent for the IBO lightweight belt on the Parker Chisora card.

He probably doesn’t deserve a ranking over those other guys given his last few years, but I think I’d still pick Luis Ortiz over anyone in the division not named Fury, Joshua or Wilder.

Credit to both guys conditioning, this has been very physical.

Matthew coming as close as a cornerman can in a post fight interview to saying “aye we’ve got a tonne of work to do.”

Good on the sky editors showing highlights of the flush shots Hatton was taking that Adam Smith completely ignored.

Not often a man gets blasted out in the first round and at the same time shows his toughness

What a pair of bantamweights we’ve got in Scotland right now.

A stark reminder of the existence (and importance) of “intangibles”. If you wrote out a H2H comparison of the technical, physical and tactical attributes of both, I’m pretty sure Kelly comes out on top in close to all of them. But Ava gets the job done. You could tell he was man with clear intent an...

I actually quite like Marku, good style, does lots wrong, has vulnerabilities, talks well, seems keen to get the big fights.

The way he loads up and lunges in with that backhand uppercut - great when it lands, but an absolute accident waiting to happen.
